This could be contentious but its a question that needs debating. The die hards will plump for the Midget every time and I can see why. You can’t ignore its strengths - its character, its Britishness, quick steering, and cute factor. But every debate has a flip side. Think MX5 and you immediately know its gonna be swiss watch reliable. Rust won’t be as big an issue as on a Midget and the Mazda’s handling is renowned. I had the same dilemma when looking for a second car. I shortlisted to both of these and in the end I went for…. the Midget.
